The launch of Swyam Shakti, in the presence of Chirag Paswan, marked a significant step toward strengthening women’s economic independence and grassroots entrepreneurship in India. The initiative, supported by MeghaShrey NGO, reflects a powerful vision—helping women move from dependence to dignity through skill development, livelihood support, and community leadership.

At the heart of this initiative is Seema Singh, whose journey in social impact has been driven by a simple belief: true empowerment begins when individuals are given the tools, knowledge, and confidence to shape their own future. Through MeghaShrey, Singh has built a nationwide movement focused on education, health, livelihood, and women’s empowerment. Meghashrey NGO today runs more than 100 projects across 15 states and has impacted over 1 million lives, creating meaningful change for marginalized communities.

The Swyam Shakti program was conceived as a platform to translate this vision into tangible opportunities for women. Under the initiative, MeghaShrey conducts skill-building workshops, entrepreneurship training, and livelihood programs that enable women to start small businesses in areas such as tailoring, handicrafts, food processing, and beauty services. Through these efforts, over 1,000 rural women have already been trained in income-generating skills, helping them become financially independent and active contributors to their communities.

Beyond livelihood support, MeghaShrey’s work under Swyam Shakti connects women with broader development initiatives. The organization has adopted villages to implement holistic development programs in education, agriculture, and community welfare, benefiting over 10,000 farmers and thousands of families through improved agricultural practices and economic opportunities.

In addition, MeghaShrey’s nationwide campaigns—from cervical cancer awareness reaching over 10 lakh women and girls to education initiatives for children in rural villages—demonstrate how women’s empowerment is closely tied to health, education, and dignity.

Through Swyam Shakti, Seema Singh and MeghaShrey are not merely running a program—they are nurturing a movement. The initiative stands as a symbol of hope where empowered women become changemakers, strengthening families, uplifting communities, and contributing to a more inclusive and self-reliant India.
